New Mayor & Deputy Mayor Appointed For Weymouth Town Council

On 10th May, Weymouth Town Council appointed Cllr Kate Wheeler as the new Mayor, with Cllr Alex Fuhrmann being elected as the new Deputy Mayor. The appointment of these two councillors marks a significant change in the leadership of the council, as they take over from the outgoing Mayor and Deputy Mayor.



Cllr Kate Wheeler, who represents the Wyke Regis ward, has been a councillor for a number of years. During her time on the council, she has served on various committees and has been actively involved in local community groups. In her new role as Mayor, she will be responsible for presiding over council meetings and acting as a representative for the council at official events and functions.

Cllr Alex Fuhrmann, who represents the Westham East ward, has also been a councillor for several years.
